Challenge:

Corporate Build Studio (Insurtech) looking to replace a dynamic Founder/CEO for a truly disruptive AI SaaS, sold to a traditionally tech-averse SMB client base (hospitality). Knowing this was a niche-within-a-niche talent pool, they wanted a true headhunting approach to this search. 

Our Approach:

Canvass the market for founders/CEOs with similar backgrounds, looking for 0-1 experience as well as $1M - $10M in ARR growth. Additionally, through multiple screenings, fins the best culture fit for a build studio (professional enough for the parent company, yet nimble and progressive enough to lead an artificial intelligence startup). SSC sourced over 300 candidates over a 2 month period, many of them recipients of “Top SaaS CEO” or “40 SaaS Founders under 40” recognition. 

Result:

Despite multiple profile scope changes over 3 months, SSC provided enough talent to produce multiple on-site (final) interview candidates, and filled the role successfully.
