THE CHALLENGE
Our client approached us with a critical need - the identification of their inaugural Medical Director. This individual would be tasked with driving commercialization of our client’s disruptive breast imaging technology, acting as a strategic business partner and building strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders and medical professionals. He or she would lead publishing strategy and collaborate with all functions to fuel commercialization efforts.
With these mandates in place, it was clear that this leader would need to be a luminary in the niche area of breast imaging with a strong passion for the product and an impeccable ability to execute on all fronts.
OUR SOLUTION
Knowing that this individual would need to travel significantly to reference sites and to the headquarters location, our team thoroughly canvassed the market for candidates located in the Eastern Time zone. Combing through research networks, current and past relevant conferences, LinkedIn and other professional networks, our team identified and headhunted 418 MDs. We targeted clinical luminaries interested in transitioning into industry to make a greater impact. After a careful multi-stage vetting process, 9 candidates were ultimately presented for Shortlist.
