THE CHALLENGE
The client was expanding their marketing team and was looking for talent who had marketing and sales experience in their niche.
The position was posted on multiple job boards with a plethora of applicants; however, none were truly a match for the requirements of the position.
The hiring manager leveraged their network and while their network was robust, the timing was not right for anyone from this pool to make a career change.
The ideal candidate profile would have field-based sales and marketing experience which could complicate the compensation expectations.
