Situation:
Client was looking for an experienced tech leader, familiar with a Venture Studio model, and agreeable to a compensation package that included no carry - W2 cash/benefits only. After exhausting the internal referrals and job boards, they reached out to SSC for help.
Our Approach:
Using public and private data sources, SSC looked for SaaS Founders with multiple successful exits, spanning multiple industries. This candidate pool was significantly smaller than most, as the client had a firm opinion on the term “successful exit” and they wanted experts with more than one, across multiple verticals. SSC ultimately produced a longlist of 60, submitting 6 candidates.
The Result:
The client had 2 finalists, and offered the role to their favorite, and he accepted. The backup candidate was of equal quality and the client hired them as a 1099 consultant as well.
